There have been several great announcements as of late concerning some epically awesome tours. These are the lineups that get all your metal loving panties in a bunch. A couple of them do not have any dates posted as of yet, but we can all agree that everyone is moist with anticipation. Just the names that have been released have made my head spin. First up is the must looked forward to return to the US by blackened death metal heroes Behemoth! Decibel Magazine has announced that after defeating leukemia, Nergal and his horde of beasts are coming back to these shores kill every living being with their mighty roar. Coming along on the trek black metal titans Watain, doomy newcomers The Devil's Blood, and heavy metal bruisers In Solitude. No dates have been released yet but this is guaranteed to be one of the biggest tours of the year.
Next up is another tour with no dates confirmed yet but will rival Behemoth's tour as one of the biggest metal tours of the year. Mastodon, after putting out one of the best albums of the year, are going on the road with Opeth and Ghost, two of the biggest names in metal of the past few years. All three bands have put out great albums in the past year and a half they are sure to bring a huge crowd no matter where they go.
Finally we have an announcement with actual dates!!! Melodeath stalwarts Black Dahlia Murder have given us headlining dates across the US and they are bringing with them Egyptian death metallists Nile, black/thrash geniuses Skeletonwitch, and Italian brutal death metal youngsters Hour of Penance! This is undoubtedly one of the heaviest lineups I have seen in a long time. This may be the tour I am most looking forward to as Hour of Penance do not make it to these shores often and their last two albums, The Vile Conception and Paradogma blew the doors down on underground metal. There is no other way to describe this tour other than br0000000tal!!!!
